Our engineers are able to re-metal all types of bearing surfaces from main bearings to big ends.
This highly skilled process involves firstly the removal of fatigued whitemetal from the parent bearing, which is then tinned to ensure an effective bond. New molten whitemetal is then gravity cast onto the bearing surface (shown in the photograph), before precise re-machining to suit the crankshaft. New bearings can also be manufactured if required.
